TCL Communication develops, produces and markets a growing portfolio of mobile products and services worldwide, consisting of broad product ranges of various brands such as TCL and Alcatel.

In order to increase awareness of current product and company developments in the relevant target group, pioneer communications relies on good relationships with tech, business and consumer media.

Media Relations for the national market germany

Since 2019 we have been planning and managing the media relations for TCL Communication in Germany. The focus of our work is the appropriate transfer of the group strategy and measures to the local market. This includes the preparation and follow-up of trade fairs, the organisation and support of interviews, the handling of test devices and the editing of press releases.

Mission

TCL Communication’s mission is to make the latest technical innovations available to everyone. pioneer communications is responsible for placing this message in the German market. Our central task is to cultivate relationships and inform the relevant specialist and public media. We report the results of our work via a central platform and thus allow ourselves to be measured against other agencies throughout Europe.

Realisation

We are in regular contact with tech and business journalists, but we also keep an eye on the topic plans of popular b2c media and therefore we know what content the journalists expect and when. As the external press office, we are the first point of contact for German journalists. We localize the English-language content, distribute it and answer media inquiries. In addition, we provide demo devices so that the tech media can convince themselves of the quality of the products and consumers are informed in comprehensive test reports. We also organize media interviews with TCL’s top managers at industry-relevant trade fairs, prepare briefings for these interviews, accompany discussions and take care of the evaluation via a central reporting platform.

Evaluation

The evaluation of the measures is an important task within the framework of cooperation. The quality of media work can only be optimised through continuous reporting, which is why evaluation is a central component of cooperation. On the central reporting platform, all relevant print, online, TV and radio reports on the company or TCL products are recorded with information on the reach, PR value, tonality and topic of the report.
